Welcome to Maple Star!  Our beginning in Nevada focused on providing foster care services to our community.   Our homes are therapeutic-level foster homes, or Specialized Foster Care homes, which means the youth we work with have a history of trauma and have mental health needs.  Maple Star supports our foster children with therapists, coordinators and other providers who specialize in working with children

Fostering is a challenging and rewarding experience; foster parents make lasting impacts on the lives of foster children and their families.  Fostering is a great way to give back to our community.  A foster home provides a safe, supportive and structured environment to a child from our community while reunification or long-term placement options are achieved.  Supportive services are usually provided to children while in foster care, including therapy, PSR/BST services, and coordination with other community service agencies.

Becoming a parent requires preparedness on your part.  Click here to learn more about foster parent qualifications.  We provide the initial training to help you gain knowledge and feel confident in starting this experience, and we continue to provide ongoing trainings, coaching, and in-home support.

Call or email us today to learn more about foster parenting and how to become a foster parent at Maple Star.  A specialist from Maple Star will meet with you to share more about the training curriculum and the steps to become a licensed foster home.  We will also explain the process of placing children in your home once licensed and how Maple Star continues to support our foster homes to help this be a positive experience for both foster parents and children.
